The same day that Chad and Marci left, me and the kids left on an adventure of our own! I did my first solo drive with the kids to grandma's house!! It went pretty well, but I'm not really in a hurry to do the drive by myself again :) It was all worth it though! Cameron, Emily and the kids were stopping in Vegas for a couple days on their way up to Utah for Emily's sister's wedding. It was so fun to see them! I really miss chatting with Emily every Sunday at mom's for dinner. Those days are long gone now that we're in AZ and they're in Virginia! Grandma had plans to make it the most fun 48 hours ever! We started off with dying Easter eggs. Surprisingly, there was not one spill. Shirts were removed as a precaution though . . . Just the boys . . .
One of the highlights of the trip was getting to see Eleanor and Miles! We hadn't seen them for about a year and they both changed so much! Especially Mr. Miles. He has the most squishable thighs I think I've ever seen on a baby :) Jeremiah and Lily absolutely loved him and thought he was so funny.
After the eggs were successfully dyed, it was time to jump on the trampoline with the sprinkler under it! This is seriously one of my kids' very favorite things to do at grandma's house!
And after the jumping, otter pops of course! The kids are showing grandma what color their tongues are:
Later that night, after bath time and jammies, it was story time with grandma!
The next morning, the Easter bunny had come and left some yummy treats and fun little books for the kids!
A trip to grandma's house wouldn't be complete without manicures! (And pedicures for the mommas - thanks mom!)
We went to the park and had all kinds of fun sliding, swinging, climbing, eating . . .
Jeremiah did pretty well, but I think Eleanor scored the most eggs.
Miles got a bucket, plastic eggs, and candy. Could life be any better?!
We loved all of our Easter fun! Thank you mom for planning everything! It was so fun to see Cameron and Emily, and the time passed too quickly. They left for Utah and we stayed for one more day.
We needed to make the rounds and visit some of our favorite people! Quite tragically, Jen and Kevin were in CA while we were in Vegas. We all felt more than a little ripped off that we didn't get to see them! But we did get to see grandmas and grandpas. Grandma and Grandpa Dixon moved to a house that's on a golf course and they see lots of cute bunnies hopping around in their yard all the time!
The kids always have fun at grandma and grandpa Waite's house playing with all their cool toys!
Silly face picture!
And of course, no visit to Las Vegas would be complete without seeing Kate, RJ, and Emmett! However, this will sadly have to be the case from now on because they are moving to Florida! Trying to be brave and not think about how far away that is or how long it might be before we get to see them again . . . The kids always love seeing Kate and RJ and "baby Emmett". It had been way too long since we had seen them, and Emmett had grown so much! He is such a handsome boy and very sweet to boot!
I'm so glad I have a BFF like Kate. She's just totally awesome, that's all there is to it.
We had a wonderful, even if it was quick, trip to Las Vegas. Thanks for everything mom and dad!
