Jeremiah was tired and wasn't interested in sitting in the "manger" (laundry basket) so his kind (and never shy of the spotlight:) cousin Benjamin, who was originally cast as a sheep, stepped in:

Once again, a nativity to remember :) We did miss my brother Austin, who's on a mission in the Dominican Republic. He always made a great (and very entertaining) wise man. The next morning the kids all got up around 7:30, we lined up in the hallway, and went out to see what Santa had brought! Here's Jeremiah checking out his presents:

After we checked out Santa's presents, my mom needed to go to my grandparent's house to help my grandpa, who had just had surgery, so we held off on opening other presents until she came back. The kids were very patient. After mom got back, my brother Austin called so we all talked to him and he sounds great!! Then we all embarked on the frenzy of opening presents. It was so fun to hear the shrieks of delight from the kids as they got "just what I wanted!" We had a great time being with family.

I've mentioned all the noise and craziness at my house, and I know you're all wondering how Parker found a way to study in the midst of all of it: (yes, those are ear plugs)
And lastly, here's a picture of all the kids on Sunday after church:

We had a great time and Jeremiah loved playing with all of his cousins. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all a happy New Year!

We miss you here ABJ! I keep looking around for baby #3:) I'm glad that most of your memories from last week are good! Things have definitely calmed down around here, although that is relatively speaking(did you catch that pun?). We miss you guys and loved seeing your cute family:)
